Kosher Wigs and Their Use

     Kosher Wigs

Kosher wigs come from the category of the human hair and are used in for Jewish standards. These wigs have got

an authorization of the rabbi who supervises the construction of the wigs and makes sure that they are made by

considering the rules assigned by the halachic requirements. Soon after the major controversies that originated in

1990 and 2005, manufacturers started using Indian hair to make these wigs and it soon became a permanent norm

to wear these wigs. Due to this issue, the doubt rose whether these wigs should be worn in the religious ceremonies

or not. The Kosher wigs are usually made from two types of hair. One is the Asian hair and the other is Eastern

Europe. The Eastern European hair is also known as the virgin hair. For the Asian hair has the manufacturers have

to make changes in the texture and color for making these wigs. Due to the controversy of indulgence of Indian hair

people hesitated to wear the wigs. This was because Hindus only worshipped idols while Jews do not worship idols

so that conflicted in the way of their religious ceremonies. Then the manufacturing switched to Eastern Europe and

Asian hair. Hair from Western and European countries was assumed much suitable for the Jewish people.

The  Kosher Wigs are also manufactured with the synthetic fibers for people who cannot afford human hair wigs.

But the synthetic hair wigs are no less qualified than the human hair wigs. They even reflect natural hair due to

efficient manufacturing. Some synthetic wigs of this category can be expensive as well as they resemble the natural

human hair. These wigs can still be utilized for religious purposes and even when medical catastrophe occurs. Yet

religious women choose to wear these wigs very selectively. These Kosher wigs are not used by the married women

as they do not let their hair show to other men and they wear scarfs instead to cover up their hair or head. The

manufacturing of these wigs is carefully supervised for any doubts and for women who are willing to wear them.
